Lynn Meets Bonnie

“Jumplady! Jumplady!”

I heard a small voice from the back of the Ashram room. I had just told my ‘Story of Job’ to a group of people who attending a retreat with my spiritual teacher, Guru Amrit Desai.

“No one knows me by that email name here,” I thought to myself, as I watched this tiny woman rush toward me.

“I am Bonnie Dubrow, from Melbourne, Florida. Last week I called you and ordered a pair of Jumpers rebounding shoes (www.jumpforhealth.com).”

I remembered talking with her. I know I did not tell her that I had a spiritual teacher. I did, however, tell her about my husband dying, loosing my home and car, declaring bankruptcy and moving from friend to friend since then.

Normally I don’t tell a customer my personal information. However, Bonnie was impressed with the product, and wanted to know the status of my business. Being a business coach, she was curious about our marketing plan. I told her that the business was on its last leg, and that I had no business plan at this time. Before we hung up, we agreed to have another conversation after she received her pair and tried them out a short while.

And here she was, in the flesh, standing in front of me 4 days after placing her order!

She invited me to have lunch with her, away from the group, to explore possibilities with my Jump business.

Before we sat down, I saw a young man who had been in my daughter’s yoga teacher training the year before. Pointed him out, I mentioned to Bonnie that I wanted to talk to him and share my daughter’s whereabouts. Bonnie grinned as she told me he had been in her teacher training.

We both connected the dots at the same moment. ”That means you were in my daughter’s training as well!” When I told her my daughter’s name, Bonnie’s face went into another huge grin. ”Did you receive a black and red jewelry set from Melani on your last birthday?” I said I had. ”Oh, Melani bought it from me at the training. I made the jewelry. In fact, the necklace was the first piece I made!”

Within the first 10 minutes of meeting, we had discovered 3 very far-out connections. I thought, “What does this mean?”

When we sat down to eat, we discovered that we had both started following Gurudev’s teachings during the same year 30 years ago. I then shared that my late husband, Daniel, was born and raised in Melbourne, Florida, a few miles from where Bonnie has been residing for over 20 years. What were the odds of that?

It dawned on both of us at that moment… There are no coincidences! The Universe was clobbering us over the head with the message that we were supposed to meet, to become the best of friends, and to do some important work together.

At first it appeared it was my Jumpers business. We spent a great deal of time together exploring this option. After several months, we decided it was way too big an endeavor to resurrect.

During our time together we continued to discover many more connections of people, places, things and interests. One that really tickled me happened while we were camping 2 months after we met. Bonnie asked if I would like to hear a CD of a man she had befriended years ago. She put it in the player. Within 4 notes I knew it was a man I had lived with for 2 years back in the 80’s. “That is Mark’s CD” I said. She asked how I knew him. I went into our adventures together making jewelry and music all those years ago.

The discoveries continue to this day…. We are truly sisters!! The connections are our confirmation that this program, Lifelines to Laughlines, is a very important offering and will serve to upgrade the quality of many peoples’ lives. Thank-you God/Goddess/Source for putting Bonnie and I together. It has been and continues to be such a joyous adventure!!
