Bonnie Taruna Dubrow

My Life’s Purpose

I have dedicated my life to empower individuals and teams to achieve greater success in business and in life. I use my eclectic approach to coaching to enable people to more fully actualize their potential. Under my guidance individuals and groups clarify their vision and purpose, develop and implement action plans, set and achieve goals, get unstuck and overcome obstacles, master business and life skills, replace self-limiting habits with success-oriented ones, and learn how to choose, change and celebrate life.

My Strengths

  • I have excellent interpersonal communication skills. I am caring and compassionate yet honest and direct.

  • I love to learn and quickly absorb, integrate and synthesize new knowledge and experiences.

  • I am an entertaining presenter. My presentations are dynamic, interactive, and experiential. I create safe environments in which individuals and groups engage in honest communications, learn and practice new skills, explore limiting beliefs and behaviors and replace them with empowering ones.

  • I am flexible and intuitive. I can quickly assess an individual or group, analyze a situation, and ‘read between the lines,’ enabling me to say or do what is needed in the moment, whether in a coaching session or a presentation.

  • I believe people have the ability to learn and change, to generate new options, create better solutions, and live fuller lives.

My Eclectic Approach to Coaching

I had been helping people to improve the quality of their lives since I was a child. I was so grateful when I discovered a career in which I could use my gifts, knowledge and experience to help people live their dreams, actualize their potential, and enjoy their lives. Coaching enables me to integrate my diverse passions for people, organizational, business and program development; knowing how people learn and change; how to facilitate mastery of business and life skills; and how to promote health, fitness and well-being of mind, body and spirit.

Some have asked how I am able to work with such a diversity of individuals, businesses and organizations in so many different areas. What I have found is that the strategies for being successful in business and in life are very similar.

Others have asked why I coach people to be more successful in business and in life. My experience has taught me that who we are in business effects our personal life and visa versa. Patterns that serve us and those that limit us in our personal lives also show up in our professional lives. Making improvements in one aspect of our lives will result in improvements in all other aspects. In addition, many of my clients have been discovering that their focus on professional success has caused them to neglect aspects of their personal and spiritual lives. They want to improve their personal relationships, to take care of their health, and to enjoy their lives while continuing their pursuit of success in business. Once they recognize their need for greater balance in their lives, they find that the ongoing support, encouragement and training they get while working with me is much more effective and produces longer lasting results than reading books or attending weekend seminars.

I do make the distinction between coaching and therapy. Whenever an individual warrants professional help, I refer them to those who are appropriately trained.

Details About My Coaching Career

Success Stories

  • I was the first professional coach of business owners and professionals in Brevard County.

    • Florida Today wrote several articles about my coaching career.

    • I coached several Brevard residents who then decided to become coaches.

    • I co-founded the local chapter of the International Coaching Federation.

  • One of the nation’s top performers for a management recruiting firm was charging at most 25% commission and wanted to start asking 30%. Within a few months, 30% was his normal fee and he remained a top producer.

  • An entrepreneur in the process of launching a new product line had developed a marketing strategy based on territorial exclusivity. Only one retail outlet in each town would carry the product and the website would direct people to a specific location to buy the product. He has expanded his vision. Now many retailers in each geographic location will carry the product, and people will be able to order the product on line.

  • An entrepreneur had a vision for a business that would have a huge impact on the construction industry. His inability to clearly describe the venture to others was preventing him from getting others to join his team. He also had beliefs and behaviors that were sabotaging his progress. He is now working with a team of experts. Together they have further developed the business model, they are raising money to finance the business, and they have attracted the attention of big corporations. Home Depot has expressed interest in acquiring his business.

  • A dentist hated his job and wanted to retire. While he loved practicing dentistry, he did not like doing marketing or sales. He also wanted to shift from being dependent on collecting fees from insurance companies to a cash-based practice, yet was afraid he would lose too many patients in the process. My coaching helped him change his attitudes and beliefs. He and his staff learned and implemented new sales skills and marketing strategies. The practice now rarely bills insurance companies, and is financially successful. The doctor is enjoying his professional and personal life.

  • My coaching helped a stock broker in one of the major brokerage houses to consistently increase her monthly business. Within the first six months, her monthly average was greater than what had previously been her best month’s performance. She then realized she wanted to move into management. She applied for, and was accepted into, the firm’s management training program and now manages her own branch.

  • A CEO was overwhelmed because he had no system to manage or prioritize projects and tasks. Together we developed a strategy and software tool that helped him gain control of his work and time enabling him to consistently make progress towards his goals. The strategy and tool have been incorporated into my Journey To Success Workbook.

  • A new stock broker decided he wanted to work with very wealthy clients. My coaching helped him develop work habits and success-oriented beliefs that have allowed him to accomplish his goal.

  • A high school baseball player was so fearful he wouldn’t make his high school varsity team that he was considering not attending try-outs. After working with me for a few sessions, he made the team.

  • Three members of the Brevard Community College Track and Field team were to compete in their first marathon. The two I coached completed the event; the third did not.
